DIY Friday- The Bohemian Bowl...

If you have some old terracotta pots or old bowls that you don't know what do with, make the Bohemian Bowl.... that's right...who wants a boring plain old bowl....lets Bohemianize it.....is that a word??? It is now...
Spread some joint compound  ( or papier mache) all over the outside & draw some designs on it, embed items of your choice even add messages....I wanted to make mine look like an ancient bowl so I took a wooden skewer & made swirls & symbols,,,,, then antiqued it after it dried,,, or you could just paint it your favorite color....

I painted the inside white then a light antique wash...now the fun part.....I love doing this... decoupage the inside with some floral napkins or you can use decorative tissue paper....anything that speaks to you....just as long as there is some transparency.... I added some aged cheesecloth to the edge to expand on the ancient look....This will be used in the craft room for a catch-all for findings... So let your imagination flow!!!

Happy Weekend all!!
