Derek Kinzett....Artist...

A 45 yr old artist & wire sculptor from the British Isles... Derek Kinzett's wire art is amazing...
I love this fairy....
 The details are wonderful...

The bike was the Hubby's favorite....no surprise there......

I love the little fae she is holding in her hand...

His hands are all calloused because he refuses to wear gloves because he feels it would take away the essence of working with the wire... He cuts & twists 160 ft of chicken wire spending about 100 hours on each figure & asks around £6000 a piece..... Some of his famous fans include Nicholas Cage who bought one for his English home...

Here are a couple of links to view much more of his amazing creations....

Dream Catcher Wall Hanging...

After being inspired by these Dreamcatchers, I took some scrap Sari material, some silver findings such as coins, Milagros...feathers, handmade beads & turquoise... The quartz crystal in the center was charged & cleansed last night during the Full Moon from any negatives or previous ownership....& created this wall hanging.... I just need to add some Moonstone gems to it....

I am hooked....These are fun to make on these cold winter days & it is a nice addition to my sacred space I am creating...

This is the start of it...I still have some things to do in the room...The Hubby suggested a new idea which I LOVE!! ...Take all the trim from the window & get wider boards which I carve designs, ivy or runes on them...Now to decide what to carve...

I Love the Moon.....

My energy feels different...How I process things feels different...more focused, more alert...I also have decreased my affirmations each month to three specific things...I find that if I focus more on just three of them,  issues are either resolved or not the problem I thought they were... I also find that things are revealed to me during the month that help me in my journey usually revealing which decisions were right to make......

Right now my focus is on letting go, forgiveness & clearing out the negative....That can be everything from my own self-defeating thoughts, negative people & situations as well as bad health habits... Journaling on the Full & New Moon specifically for this purpose has been wonderful  as it gives me a chance to go deeper into things...

I also created a sacred space today for the first time...usually I would do my journaling & meditation on the bed but I am moving toward a deeper experience during these Moon times... So tonight will be different & I am looking forward to it...

I also wanted to share some ideas I found especially if your new to fully participating in it as I am...
I have done bits & pieces of it but now I am getting more serious about my time with the Moon...So I hope you find this as interesting as I did...

CLEARING WITH THE FULL MOON
Moon Water
Place a container filled with water under the full moon overnight [I use a party jug with a spout]. Drinking this will clear your chakras. Bless the container with love when you place it outside, before and after drinking the water. I often think the words "love, peace, joy."
 Release Ceremony
During a full moon is the time to release negativity. Deborah King suggests having a Release Ceremony. Write down negative thoughts or patterns to burn. For example: regret, blame, lack, self sabotage, etc.  Burn it outside under the moonlight, if you cannot burn it then soak it in water. Release it with love and forget about it.
Release negative patterns, toxic relationships, and anything unwanted with the help of God, God's full moon, and the Archangel Michael; the angel who releases us from fear and fear-based manifestations; Archangel Haniel, the gentle angel who has long been associated with moonlight; Archangel Raziel, who balances karma with relationships in all directions of time; and Archangel Ariel, who teaches us how to manifest our earthly needs, to enjoy our lives, and connect with nature
Lunar Bath
Lunar energy is more important to our spiritual development than solar energy. Spend at least 5 minutes soaking it up, especially under the full moon !!! If you can, why not sleep under it and marinate with the energies the entire evening?
 Clearing Bath
Not only is this a weekly routine, I started doing this last month for the eclipse. I clear my field of lower energies to welcome the heightened energies. It is a time of releasing that which no longer serves you, why not clear your field also?
Charge and clear your crystals - set them out overnight under the full moon.

Bathing the Aztec/Mayan Way.....

Unique, Creative, Historial, Thinking outside the box....
This is what crossed my mind when I came across this absolutely amazing bathroom through Altered Alchemy's Facebook page...I was so amazed at the intricate designs....Even more so when I found out that the artist, Alan Rogerson sculpted every inch of this himself....What patience & dedication....He also stayed true to the original look of the Aztec/Mayan design...

I asked Alan a few questions such as the construction processes on the bath & why he chose the Aztec theme... so in his words...
"As a renter, I was sittin' here in my bathroom, minding my own business, when by Divine Providence, I pulled on a paint chip and it went damned near to the ceiling. When I informed my landlady, she told me I could do anything I wanted to the bathroom. Rubbing my hands together with glee and an evil-sounding Laugh...I said,"Really!"
About six months later, she was over and I asked if she wanted to see the bathroom. She walked in and made a sound like someone punched her in the stomach, twice. That's all she said, but a mutual friend told me that she said it was fantastic. After working on the bathroom for a year and a half, I purchased the house. I spent many years and a small fortune in sculpting epoxy to sculpt over the entire room.
I'm similar to a closet archaeologist, but I have no intention of doing this to my closet. My skin may be white but my blood is red. I believe that I have worn Native American skin hundreds of times. My ancestry can be experienced by watching Braveheart. But that is not me. So why Mayan/ Aztec, I don't presume to know, except that it is something calling to me from deep within. This was long before anyone was talking about the End of the Mayan Calender.
Mostly, for sculpting, I used products from www.avesstudio.com. Apoxy Sculpt and Fixit Sculpt. They are completely non-toxic and have NO shrinkage. For the backgrounds in some places I used a product from Polygem called 307 FR Lite. It is Not non-toxic and is spread with a trowel. Nothing is made from molds. All is sculpted directly. All Pre-Columbian designs are reproduced faithfully to the originals.
I had Many synchronous experiences while making this, that point to my having been there. For instance, when I made the Vision Serpent, I needed a piece of jade looking substance for the eye. I knew I had something. All I could find was a little Buddha. I cut off his head and lower body and inverted his heart region. It looks like it was carved to be an eyeball...except that it has a capital letter T in the center. Two days later I read that if there was a capital letter T,in the eye, it was a spiritual Vision. Many times, I made a decision and two days later, read that this is what they did. This actually gets VERY personal and I won't bore you with details, but suffice it to say, I believe that I was wearing the skin that was buried under the pyramid painted in my bathroom. Ah Cacao, He of the Chocolate, was interred under one of the most famous Pre- Columbian pyramids in Guatamala at the ruins of Tikal."
I have no doubt that he was definitely surrounded by the spirits of the Aztecs & Mayas as this creative process was ongoing... The detail is phenomenal.....

This shows the construction of the woman with the  rebar ....

Here she is completed...

I love how the workings of the bath are hidden such as this light switch..

The soap dispenser....

The toilet paper holder...

When you turn on the bath the mouth of the Serpent opens...

The construction of the tub...

The door knob.... the mouth opens to lock or unlock it...

Laying down the floor over the original tile...

Every time I look at these pictures I see something new....I did ask Alan what the women had to say about it...They said it was a man's bathroom....It definitely has a very masculine appeal....Alan did say he had a bathroom for the women... Tho I would want a bath to decorate a dite more feminine, I would have no problem with a bath like this...Imagine being on an exotic vacation in the jungles of Mexico....(that might be my Aztec blood calling me...LOL) The only thing I would change...I would add more plants...

This really should be in an architechural magazine...It is just so amazing!!!   I want to thank Alan very much for letting me use his photos & the interview...It was really enjoyable...... For more photos, you can see them here.... Sculpting Epoxy available here : http://www.avesstudio.co....

I hope you have enjoyed this unique room as much as I have....
