The Page Project

Deep in the Pine Forest is a
shrine built by the elves.....
A shrine you say...to whom???

Patience & all will be revealed later this week...
Ok I am having way too much fun with this..

The Master Elf was busy constructing this from
all manner of items...He is the recycling artist.. Most of it came from two chairs that were (excuse the pun) on their last legs...

I think the hubby did a great job on it...He painted some of it with a gray wash to give it appearance of stone...then left part of it wood...

The top has a piece of glass so that lights can be put in from the back and shine up through...

He used metal sheeting on the arches
& for fences on the balcony....

I did a spiral mosaic on the ramp that
leads up with some granite pieces...

Molly is showing you the scale of it...

Of course you-know-who got in on the act...

Miss Chicklet & the girls thought it was for them..
they were all over it...

They decided to play along & guard the shrine...

This morning I slathered a Moss milkshake all over it......buttermilk, yogurt & moss...YUM

Then covered it with a damp, black sheet to help the moss get a good start...as the weather & moss create their magic, I am hoping it will starting looking like an ancient building...

Now on to some finish details like finishing the stone foundation, adding lights  & bring more moss up around it...I just need to wait for some rain...
The hubby was pretty excited for me to post this..
so I  hope you enjoyed it...

Stay tuned for the name...
:)
