On April 4, 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated in Memphis by racist James Earl Ray...

"If we would lead outside our borders, if we would help those who need our assistance, if we would meet our responsibilities to mankind, we must first, all of us, demolish the borders which history has erected between men within our own nations — barriers of race and religion, social class and ignorance."
Robert F Kennedy

we are still an angry people, both black and white, we have learned nothing.
It sure was dark...I bet you could feel the tension in the air for a long time after that. Civil Rights Rhetoric was one of my favorite classes in college...learned so much about the CR movement that no one ever told me...you're good to remind us.
Thanks Scarlett...I think we need to remind ourselves what the CR movement was fighting against...
That is very true Magnolia...and very unfortunate...it is creating alot of injustice as a result...:(
